The idea of the slide bracelet
came about quite by accident. Years ago, men used pocket watches, but they were exchanging them for the modern wristwatch. The decorative watch fobs used with pocket watches no longer were useful, but women admired them. Soon they were designing their own bracelets using different styles of watch fobs.
The popularity of this bracelet necessitated a more modern style because the antique watch fobs were no longer available. Thus came the creation of the current slide bracelets. Today many people want to go green and repurpose their jewelry by making a unique slide from a ring, pendant or just a collection of beautiful gems.
